The purpose and meaning of life are driven by connections. We all are connected in one way or other. However, to connect with others, we need to excruciate and show vulnerability. And the fear of disconnection from the world gives rise to shame. One should be vulnerable to what’s worthy. Worthiness sets the difference between the sense of belonging and not. We should be compassionate to ourselves and stop predicting or controlling matters. We cannot be compassionate towards others if we are not compassionate to ourselves.

When I mention embracing and expressing vulnerability, a lot of you might think it will make you weak or less powerful. That is not true. It takes a lot of courage and strength to be vulnerable and tell your story with a full heart. Vulnerability can often look like a cove of shame, fear, and worthiness. At the same time, vulnerability is also a place of birth for joy, creativity, love, and belonging.

We all tend to practice different ways to not be vulnerable. We tend to numb vulnerability with aid of food, drugs, or alcohol. We try to control things in a this or that manner to make the uncertain certain. We want everything to be perfect. We pretend that our actions solely belong to us and have no effect on others. And even after all these tries, we end up being lonely and vulnerable to our souls.

So let yourself be seen as vulnerable. Love yourself with your whole heart to be worthy of it, practice gratitude and joy, and accept that you are enough. Have faith and believe in yourself. Vulnerability is not a weakness. Rather, vulnerability is an emotional rise, exposure, and an accurate measurement of courage.
